What is Mennonite?
Since the 1920's, furniture made by Mennonite families has been highly sought after for the creative designs and quality construction. The word Mennonite is commonly used to describe a religious group of people that practice a lifestyle without the use of modern technology. Some Mennonites may reject the use of electricity or the use of motor vehicles. Other Mennonites have evolved to accept and use certain modern technologies. Our furniture builders range from the Old Order Mennonite to the Modern or Conservative Mennonite. This is a brief and simplified description of a more complex and intriguing way of life. (Up to top)
Is your furniture constructed of solid wood?
Yes, our furniture is constructed using solid wood. Our builders' attention to detail does not end on the exterior of the furniture. European drawer glides are used on our furniture, to ensure a smooth opening drawer for years to come. A full extension drawer slide is also available from some builders. All furniture backing is inset to provide a clean finished look. Our furniture is designed and built to be enjoyed for a lifetime. (Up to top)
Does your furniture require any assembly?
No, most of our furniture is fully assembled by the builder. The only exception to this would be fastening a table top onto the pedestal, or installing the side rails on a bed. These pieces are kept apart to assist you in moving the furniture into your house without damage. There is never any gluing or in-depth construction involved. (Up to top)

How do I care for my furniture?
Any furniture that you purchase from Dale's Antique Market is constructed and finished to provide many years of enjoyment. A warm damp cloth is all that is needed to keep your furniture looking new. When cleaning, always wipe with the grain to avoid scratching the finish.
Avoid putting your solid wood furniture in front of, or close to a direct heat source, like a fireplace or heat register. It is normal for solid wood furniture to expand and contract with fluctuations in humidity. When humidity levels are low, solid wood furniture may contract, causing small openings in the grain. As the humidity rises, the furniture may swell causing drawers to become sticky. These movements in the wood can be minimized by regulating the humidity levels in your home. The recommended humidity level is between 40- 50%.(Up to top)
